Pre-Order Policy

1: What is a "Pre-Order"?

A pre-order is an order for an item that will be released in the future. Pre-orders are announced in advance of the item being released (Sometimes over a year in advance).

Each product will have an arrival ETA in the description. Please note this ETA is a rough estimate only and not a guarantee. We update this ETA as we receive updates from the manufacturer. You can find the current status of your pre-order here: https://anthonysdiecasts.com.au/pages/pre-order-status

Most pre-orders require a deposit only to secure the item with the full amount due when the item arrives in store. For some items we require the full amount upfront. Please read each product description so you are aware of the deposit price and the final price.

2: Buyer wishes to cancel pre-order

Deposit exchanged for store credit

When we place our order for an item, we decide how many to order based on our pre-orders and we use the deposit amount to pay our deposit to the manufacturer. Because of this, deposits are non-refundable. However, we will transfer the deposit amount to a store gift card or store credit.

This only applies to the point in time that your invoice expires. Once your invoice has expired, please refer to "Buyer does not pay their invoice" section.

2.1: Exception 1: If a quantity of 3 or more of a single item is ordered, the deposit is non-refundable and non-transferrable.

2.2: Exception 2: In some rare cases, a singular item will require a non-refundable and non-transferrable deposit. This usually only applies to high value or rare items. This will be made clear in the item description. If the buyer wishes to cancel these items the deposit will be lost.

3: Buyer does not pay their invoice

Deposit lost

When an item arrives in store an invoice will be emailed to you to pay the remaining balance. The timeframe to pay this invoice is 30 calendar days. If the invoice remains unpaid at the end of those 30 days it will be voided and your deposit will be lost. It is up to the customer to ensure the email we have on file is accurate and updated where necessary.

Please add the following emails to your contact book to ensure you do not miss your invoice:

- messaging-service@post.xero.com

- pre-orders@diecasts.com.au

4: Pre-order is cancelled

Deposit refunded in full

In some rare cases a manufacturer will cancel production of an announced pre-order. This is usually due to lack of interest from collectors but can happen for various other reasons.

If this happens, your deposit will be refunded in full.

5: Pre-order price change

Deposit refund available

In some extremely rare cases the advertised final price may increase when the item arrives. This is usually due to either currency exchange increases or increasing freight costs.

If this happens, you can proceed with the item at the higher cost or you can have your deposit refunded in full.

6: Item is delayed

- Less than 2 years from order date = No refund

- Over 2 years from order date = Full refund available

Unfortunately we have no control over when a manufacturer will release their item or whether they will arrive by the original ETA. As such our arrival ETA's are a rough estimate only. We will only provide a refund if the item has been delayed for more than two years from the date of your order. If it has been less than two years from the date of your order and you wish to cancel your pre-order, please refer to our "Buyer wishes to cancel pre-order" cancellation policy above. If it has been more than two years and you wish to cancel, please email us: pre-orders@diecasts.com.au

Please note: This is only valid until the item arrives in store. If your item has arrived in store please refer to "Buyer wishes to cancel pre-order" cancellation policy above.

7: Pre-Order Images/Post-Announcement Changes

Deposit exchanged for store credit

Unless otherwise specified in the listing, all pre-order images are for reference only. Pre-order items have not been produced when they are announced, therefore in most cases it is not possible to show an image of the actual item to be received. The images shown are either computer generated, prototype samples or sample images.

The manufacturer reserves the right to make changes to the item at any time from announcement until release. Our "Buyer wishes to cancel pre-order" cancellation policy applies should a customer wish to cancel there pre-order on these grounds. If you have any queries, please email us: pre-orders@diecasts.com.au

8: Shipping for pre-orders

"Pay Shipping When Item Arrives"

If you choose this option at checkout we will invoice you the shipping cost when the item arrives in store.

"Standard" or "Express Shipping"

We don't recommend choosing this option if you are purchasing multiple pre-orders at once. This is because pre-orders often arrive at different times.

Our system can only charge one lot of shipping at a time. Therefore if you order multiple items in a single order they will be sent together when all the items arrive. If you would like an item/s sent out early, please email us: pre-orders@diecasts.com.au

9: Postal Address Change

It is up to the customer to notify us in advance if their postal address has changed. We will ship your item to the address used when purchasing the item unless otherwise notified. If you would like your address changed, please email us: pre-orders@diecasts.com.au

If the customer does not advise us of address change we are not liable if the item isn't returned to us. If it is returned to us, the buyer is responsible for the return to sender costs and the new postage cost.

Please note: Changing your address within your account or placing a new order to a different address does not update the address on your previous orders. This does not count as notification of address change.
